Kick-off in Warsaw: planning the guide and the course

The four EARTH3D partners met in Warsaw to plan the two resources the project would deliver: a best practice guide and a free online course.

On 20 and 21 November 2025, Commune Studio hosted the EARTH3D kick-off meeting at CIC Warsaw. For the first time, the teams of Commune Studio (Poland), Universidade da Beira Interior (Portugal), Vertico (the Netherlands) and Vidipost (Estonia) worked around the same table.

Two results, two leads

The partners divided the work on the two main results of the project:

  • The Best Practice Guide, led by Vertico: a collection of 3D printed earth projects from around the world. A first draft of the selection criteria was shared a few days after the meeting.
  • The e-learning course and the Networking Hub, led by Universidade da Beira Interior: six training modules, each written by the partner with the most relevant expertise, and a space for professional networking.

Reaching the people who need it

On the second day, each partner mapped the universities, vocational schools, companies, NGOs and online communities it would involve in its own country, so that the guide and the course would reach architects, engineers and students in all four countries and beyond.
